Hleb moves to Barca
Alexander Hleb has moved from Arsenal to Barcelona for the sum of £11.9m and has also admitted that it has been his lifelong dream to play for the Catalunyan team.
The midfielder who is originally from Belarus has been linked with Barcelona since the end of the season. He has been to Barcelona and completed his medical and the deal is now done. He looks set to play injury free football at Barcelona for some years.
The deal is not yet fully completed as although Barca have now paid 15 million Euro’s they will owes another 2 million Euro’s depending on how successful the club is whilst Hleb plays for them.
There has been a buy-out clause set in Hleb’s contract, this is at a staggering 90 million Euros which equates to £71m. This has been set so high that it looks unlikely that anyone will even consider paying it.
Hleb has signed a four year deal with the La Liga side and is happy that he is finally fulfilling his dream to plat at Barcelona.
Hleb said,
"I have always been in love with Barcelona and I will give it my all whilst I play for them. It is a very important aspect of the move that Guardiola personally wants me in the team, that means a lot to me and I want to win as many trophies as possible whilst here."
Hleb is a fierce opponent and can make goals out of thin air, he will be a welcome addition to Barcelona.
